Space to Create

Cornmill Art Space was set up in April 2016 as a not for profit art studio project. The studio is housed in the Old Cornmill building on Railway Road, Ilkley.

The studio is very light and airy and well equipped for a wide variety of drawing, painting, printmaking and craft practices. The mission of the project is simply to provide a dedicated space for art, craft and making. Workshops and courses are either arranged by the Cornmill itself or the space is rented out to artists/practitioners who would like to run courses. All proceeds go towards the rent and overheads of the space with any surplus being invested in the studio and art projects.

We are running five more of our screen printing workshops this term, the first on Sunday 21st January 11am-3pm.  The workshops will take you through the whole process from creating a suitable design through to pulling your own set of limited edition prints. This simple method of printing can produce wonderful and bold artworks, if you love colour you’ll love this workshop. There are discounts of up to 20% for booking 3, 4 or 5 workshops, ideal if you want to go deeper into print making and produce a body of work.
